Our Services
Welcome to Berry Sweet Therapy Services! We specialize in providing exceptional pediatric speech and occupational therapy services to children in York, Pennsylvania. We offer tutoring for reading using the Orton Gillingham Method, writing/spelling, and math. In addition, we offer IEP Advocacy Services to provide parents with the guidance and support they may need in the IEP process. We provide daytime and evening hours of individualized therapy.
Speech Therapy
Our speech therapy services are designed to help children build the communication skills they need to express themselves, connect with others, and thrive in their everyday lives. Through individualized, play-based therapy sessions, we focus on fostering growth, confidence, and meaningful progress tailored to each child's unique abilities and goals. Our team is here to empower them every step of the way!
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy services are designed to help children develop the skills they need to thrive in their daily lives. We focus on empowering children to gain independence and confidence in everyday activities, such as dressing, eating, playing, and learning. Through fun, hands-on activities and a holistic approach, we work collaboratively with families to support growth, foster resilience, and help every child reach their full potential!
Tutoring
Our tutoring services are designed to be individualized and structured to meet your child’s needs. Lessons follow a step-by-step approach that builds on previously learned skills while introducing new ones in a clear and systematic way. Using multi-sensory techniques—such as seeing, hearing, saying, and writing—students actively engage with sounds, letters, and words to strengthen reading, spelling, and comprehension. With math or other subjects, students will engage with specialized instruction to target areas of weakness. Sessions are designed to be supportive, encouraging, and paced so that your child can experience success and build confidence as a student.
1. Strengthens understanding of key concepts and fills in learning gaps.
2. Provides individualized instruction tailored to the student’s learning style.
3. Reinforces classroom learning with extra practice and explanation.
4. Prepares students for tests, quizzes, and standardized exams.
5. Builds stronger study habits, problem-solving skills, and organizational strategies.
IEP Advocacy
Our IEP Advocacy services are designed to provide parents the opportunity to share their concerns, ask questions, and learn how an advocate can support them through the IEP process during an initial consultation. Following, the IEP Advocate and parents will meet to review the child’s current educational plan, discuss challenges, and identify goals for future services. A plan is created to outline next steps and receive guidance and support in understanding the child’s educational rights and services. The advocate works alongside parents to prepare for school meetings, clarify options, and build confidence in the advocacy process. The advocate may attend the IEP meeting with at least two weeks notice. Having an advocate present at your child’s IEP meeting provides families with knowledgeable support throughout the special education process. During the meeting, the advocate will:
-
Accompany parents to the IEP meeting as a collaborative support.
 -
Ensure parent concerns and priorities are clearly voiced and documented.
 -
Assist in interpreting school reports, evaluations, and educational terminology.
 -
Help clarify proposed goals, services, and accommodations.
 -
Support constructive communication between the school team and family.
 -
Take detailed notes to provide parents with a clear record of the meeting.

This service ensures parents feel prepared, supported, and confident in advocating for their child’s educational needs during the IEP process. Lastly, a post-IEP conference can be held to answer questions parents may still have or provide understanding of what was discussed and decided. This service provides families with a one-on-one follow-up session with an advocate to:
-
Review the IEP meeting outcomes, notes, and decisions made.
 -
Clarify educational terminology, services, and accommodations discussed.
 -
Identify any concerns or areas where additional clarification may be needed.
 -
Develop a plan for next steps, including communication with the school team if appropriate.
 -
Provide emotional support and reassurance, ensuring parents feel confident in advocating for their child’s needs.

This meeting is designed to help parents process the IEP meeting, feel supported in their role as decision-makers, and leave with a clear understanding of their child’s educational plan.
Meet Our Founder
Kylie
Owner/Speech Language Pathologist
Hi! I’m Kylie. I am nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state certified in Pennsylvania and Maryland. I earned my bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University (2017) and my master's degree from Towson University (2019). I have worked in public schools for a majority of my career.
I also briefly worked at a private practice in Maryland. I have worked with children and adults ages 15 months to 78 years old. My clinical interests and specialties are articulation disorders, phonological disorders, and childhood language disorders. I also have experience treating fluency disorders, social communication disorders, and adults that have experienced Traumatic Brain Injury or strokes.
Aside from being a speech-language pathologist, I am a wife of a blueberry farmer and a mother of two boys! I enjoy spontaneous adventures and traveling, especially to warm places, exercising, and being with my family and friends.

Fun Facts: You’ll almost always catch me wearing sunglasses on my head. I worked at a bowling alley hosting birthday parties for 11 years while going to college and graduate school full time.
What Makes us Berry Sweet?
I am the wife of a blueberry farmer! My husband owns a blueberry farm in Red Lion, PA called Blueberry Hill. I do a lot of his marketing, social media, and have an active role in planning events, hiring, and creating an overall good customer experience. I wanted to create my own private practice as an extension of Blueberry Hill.
As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be in private practice. In a similar way that I am creating an enhanced customer experience at Blueberry Hill, I want to carry that over to my private practice and create a new, balanced life for my own family and for the families of my clients.
By choosing Berry Sweet Therapy Services as your child's speech therapist, occupational therapist, tutor, or your IEP advocate, you are allowing us the flexibility to create an individualized treatment plan for your child and their needs with no decisions influenced by another governing body. You are choosing a dedicated team with years of experience and expertise!
